What Does a Professional Organizer Do?

  • In-home sessions for 3-6 hours at a set hourly rate
  • No surprise fees
  • I can work with you, or alone with your guidance
  • Help sort, declutter, tidy and organize your belongings
  • Gather trash & recycling
  • Put away groceries
  • Help set up systems to help you stay organized
  • Take a trunk-load of items to be donated (or passed on to others in need)
  • Sort & organize paper work, photos or digital files
  • Light tidying such as wiping a surface after it’s been cleared or light vacuuming
  • Put away / hang clean laundry
 
What Do I NOT Do?
 
  • Regular cleaning or heavy-duty like toilets, stove, dishes, sweeping, mopping etc
  • Moving or removal of large furniture, but I can help contact someone who does
  • Removal or large amounts of donations or trash, but I can help contact someone who does. 
  • Custom closets or builds

General Organizing and Decluttering

Kid's Bedrooms & Playrooms

  • Bedroom owner involvement is recommended but not required.
  • Strategies on items to keep, pass on, or to have a temporary ‘time will tell’ box of items that you aren’t sure you can live without but will force yourself to get rid of if you don’t remember them or use them in the next 30 days. 

Sometimes a rotating toy set-up works fantastic to limit the amount of belongings available to play with while not getting rid of them completely.

Paperwork Done Easy

I set up simple or complex filing systems for home or small business use. This can often be done by finding common categories while decluttering, but most homes have similar categories: taxes, health, warranties, memories, etc. 

It’s good to have a drop zone for incoming papers and an easy place to file away those big common categories. If your system is too complicated, it becomes easier to make piles for ‘later’.

I can set up a system that’s easy to use and maintain, and a few extra supplies to add on more later. 

Memory Bins for Kids or Adults

A Memory Bin or Keepsake Bin is meant to be a contained box with sections that make sense for YOU to be able to easily put away momentos to easily find again. 

 

 

These help keep paper clutter more manageable by having a place to put many items without thinking about it.
